Avui... una mica d'arquitectura a Hèlsinki. Més concretament, a la zona de Kalasatama.

Kalasatama is a new residential and business district build on a former harbor area adjacent to Helsinki inner city. Kalasatama will be a dense urban district that will offer versatile housing opportunities from high rise buildings to townhouses (the architect). _Kalasatama (port de pescadors, en finès) serà una nova zona residencial i de negocis en una antiga zona portuària adjacent a Hèlsinki, prop del centre de la ciutat. Kalasatama serà una densa zona urbana versàtil que oferirà habitatge tant en edificis de gran alçada com en cases (diu l'arquitecte).

'Kalasataman Huvilat' was built as a part of a development block in a co-operation between three architecture offices: Gallery Block by ArkOpen Ltd, Townhouses by PORTAALI architects Ltd and Neo-Urban Apartments by TALLI Ltd. The housing block has a common underground garage and courtyard. _Kalasataman Huvilat s'ha construït com a part d'un bloc en cooperació entre tres estudis d'arquitectura: Gallery Block per ArkOpen Ltd, Townhouses per PORTAALI arkkitehdit Oy i Neo-Urban Apartments per TALLI Ltd. El bloc d'habitatges té un garatge subterrani i pati comuns.

The development block on the Helsinki seaside utilizes three different types of user influence and life span solutions: Rented apartments. Family apartments. And for the demanding customer there are the Town Houses, which provide an urban location combined with individuality from layout to facades. _Hi ha apartments per a llogar i apartments per a famílies. Les Cases de Poble (Town Houses), proporcionen una ubicació urbana combinada amb la individualitat.

The townhouses are a small scale housing alternative with exclusive outdoor spaces. Each townhouse has parking located in the cellar; with living room, kitchen and utility room on the ground floor; bedrooms on the first floor and a roof terrace on the second floor. Every apartment has small yard and a roof terrace. The architecture is inspired by the neighborhood and consists of brick and plaster facades in earthy colors. _Les cases són una alternativa d'habitatge amb espais exteriors exclusius. Cada casa disposa d'aparcament situat al soterrani; sala, menjador, cuina i safareig a la planta baixa; dormitoris al primer pis i una terrassa al segon pis. Cada apartament té un petit pati i una terrassa al terrat. L'arquitectura està inspirada en el barri i es comp on de façanes de maó i guix dels colors de la terra.
