Peter Bonner, former actor, real-estate agent, and therapist, is a Civil War fanatic. Therefore, when he discovered that the dismantled pieces of the Gone with the Wind mansion were sitting in a dairy barn in the town of Lovejoy, Georgia, since 1959, hoping to become a tourist attraction, Bonner acquired the pieces. _Peter Bonner, a més d'ex-actor, agent inmobiliari i terapeuta, és un entusiasta de la Guerra Civil americana. I per això, quan va saber que les restes de la que ha estat una de les mansions més famoses, com a mínim de la història del cinema, descansaven des de l'any 1959 en un estable de la ciutat de Lovejoy, a Georgia, després de diversos intents infructuosos  per part de diversos propietaris de les restes de retornarla a la vida com a atracció turística, va decidir comprar-ne les peces.

Tara was never a real home, but a set built to be a mansion for one of the most famous movies that born from the imagination of art director Lyle Wheeler... 'Gone with the wind'. Tara has no rooms inside. It was just a façade. _Tara no va existir mai com a tal... només va ser l'escenari d'una de les pel·lícules més famoses de la història del cinema fruit de la imaginació de la direcció artística de l'oscaritzat Lyle Wheeler... Allò que el vent s'enduguè. Però Tara no és més que una façana! No hi ha habitacions, ni salons, ... res!

Bonner hopes to stage completed sections of the facade next to photos of the way they looked on the set, adding the displays to the offerings of "Peter Bonner's Historical and Hysterical Tours," which started in Jonesboro, Georgia, with Bonner telling Civil War stories for tips in a Confederate cemetery. Now, there's a number of tours on offer, including a Gone with the Wind tour, where Bonner relates local historical accounts that parallel the action of the film. _Sembla ser que aquesta proesa s'ha d'incloure ens els tours que el mateix Bonner organitza sota el nom de Peter Bonner's Historical and Hysterical Tours, relacionats amb la Guerra Civil americana, on s'hi expliquen alguns aconteixements que tenen un paral·lel a la narració de la pel·lícula.

But it seems that Tara is a neoclassical architectural marvel from he South. Without blueprints or guidelines available, the very weathered piececs are hard to match. Bonner is working without glues or proxies, and is for now, only putting together sections of the set. The materials are so old that they are impossible to match, and even worse, impossible to replicate. In his Facebook page you can see Saving Tara progress. One can only recall the opening lines of Gone with the Wind, which remember a life that “is no more than a dream remembered. A civilization gone with the wind.” But if Peter Bonner has his way, Tara will not face the same fate. _Però Tara, sembla ser, és una meravella de l'arquitectura neoclàssica del Sud. Sense cap tipus de plànol la colocació de les peces més malmeses es fa molt difícil, peces que, la majoria, són gairebé impossibles de replicar perquè es va fer a mà, de manera artesana. A la pàgina facebook de Saving Tara s'hi poden veure els progressos. Però, a diferència de les primeres línies de la pel·lícula que parlen de la vida com un somni recordat, una civilització que el vent s'ha endut, amb l'ajuda de Bonner, això podria no passar a Tara.
