Del 4 al 8 de gener s'ha cel·lebrat a Hèlsinki la sisena edició del festival de la llum Lux Helsinki, organitzat per la mateixa ciutat, i que uns 150000 espectadors han pogut gaudir de manera gratuita. Lux Helsinki is an urban event for the whole family, which has been held in 2014 for the sixth time, between 4 and 8 January in Helsinki, Finland. The Lux Helsinki light event brought 150,000 visitors from Helsinki, the rest of Finland and around the world to the centre of the city and to the Cable Factory. The main event and all its related events are free of charge. The event is organized by the City of Helsinki.

La filosofia inicial de Lux Helsinki és la de dur llum en els dies més foscos de l'any. A més, és una bona manera de fer sortir la gent al carrer en una època tan freda! The urban event Lux Helsinki offers experiences for all the senses during the darkest time of the year. Visually spectacular light installations have enticed people to spend time in the wintry outdoors of Helsinki.
Una de les obres principals ha estat Corazón, de la dissenyadora espanyola Agatha Ruiz de la Prada (en colaboració amb la companyia francesa D-Facto), i consisteix en un cor instal·lat al capdamunt de l'escalinata de la Catedral, al cor de la ciutat, bategant color i só. 'Corazón', by the Spanish fashion designer Agatha Ruiz de la Prada in collaboration with the production and design company D-Facto, consists of a huge heart placed at the top of the steps of Helsinki Cathedral, beating in countless colours to powerful, specially composed music. The Cathedral backdrop, with its own lighting, merges into the installation.
