Sauna is part of the Finnish culture and idiosyncrasies in a very intense way. Since the 16th century saunas were very popular as a good way to combat the low temperatures of winter. Thus, they were more a necessity than a luxury. Even most women gave birth in there as the warm rooms were thought to have hygienic, purifying qualities. Types are varied. _La sauna forma part de la cultura i la idiosincràcia finlandesa d'una manera molt intensa. Ja al segle 16 les saunes eren molt populars com a mitjà per a combatre les baixes temperatures de l'hivern. Així doncs, eren més una necessitat que no pas un luxe. Fins i tot les dones hi parien gràcies a les seves qualitats higièniques i purificadores (a part de la temperatura idònia per al part).

The range of Finnish saunas varies in size and form, and may be as wide as people's imagination. However, a group of Finnish friends decided to take the comforts of steam to the water by building a floating, multi-level sauna, combining the leisure of water sports with an age-old form of relaxation. _Tot i que la idea constructiva és la mateixa, els formats són tan diversos com la imaginació ho permeti. I així ho han demostrat una colla d'amics que han decidit dur-ne els seus efectes tan beneficiosos a l'aigua, construint una sauna flotant. 

Built out of recycled wood, the buoyant steam bath features a rooftop observation deck, a barbecue, and a hammock, making it the perfect place to unwind on the water with friends, whether in winter or the warmer summer months. A set of repurposed plastic drums keeps the sauna afloat, while a small outboard motor is used to power the vessel. _L'han construit amb fusta reciclada, i disposa d'una plataforma d'observació al sostre, una barbacoa, hamaques, tot allò just i imprescindible per a relaxar-se a l'aigua, ja sigui estiu o hivern. La fusta recorda les antigues i tradicionals saunes... un conjunt de bidons de plàstic n'asseguren la seva flotabilitat... i un petit motor els permet traslladar-se d'aquí cap allà.

Ready to share their invention with the world, the group made their sauna available for rent, giving anyone the chance to set sail in warmth! _Ara els seus constructors han decidit compartir-la amb tothom, i es possible llogar-la!
