While in Finland, and in our case in Helsinki, design surrounds you everywhere, and mixes in a wise way with everything. That's the Nordic design that everyone talks about. _Quant ets a Finlàndia, i en el nostre cas a Hèlsinki, el disseny t'envolta per tot arreu i es barreja de forma sàvia i respectuosa amb l'entorn ja existent. El disseny nòrdic del que tothom en parla.

The hotel in which we stayed is an example of it, and an old office building in one of the most charming streets of the city, Bulevardi, in the very middle of Helsinki's Design District, is converted into a modern Nordic style hotel. The newly opened Hotel Indigo Helsinki Boulevard.  _L'hotel en el que ens vam allotjar n'és un exemple, i un antic edifici d'oficines en un dels carrers de caràcter més elegant de la ciutat, Bulevardi, al bellmig de l'anomenat Design District, es reconverteix en un modern hotel d'esperit completament nòrdic. El recentment obert Hotel Indigo Helsinki Boulevard.

Design has also been used widely in restaurants and cafés. Also you'll see it in the restaurants of the hotel, Restaurant Bröd Punavuori (an urban bistro of Scandinavian cuisine) where we had breakfast... _També el disseny ha entrat amb força en el món de la restauració. Els mateixos restaurants de l'hotel, el Restaurant Bröd Punavuori (un bistro urbà de cuina escandinava) on esmorzàvem...

...and Soup & Juice, soups and salads, sandwiches and organic fresh juices. Both are led by Kristian Vuojärvi, captain of the Finnish national team of cuisine.

Other buildings have been converted some of its spaces. The cafe-restaurant Story (which I we have spoken about it here, of the Finnish designer Joanna Laajisto) inside the newly renovated Vanha Kauppahalli, an old market next to the harbor and Kauppatori... _...i el proper Soup & Juice, d'amanides i sopes, entrepans orgànics i sucs acabats de fer. Ambdós estan liderats per Kristian Vuojärvi, capità de l'equip nacional finlandès de cuina.

D'altre edificis també han acollit el disseny i han reconvertit algun dels seus espais. El cafè-restaurant Story (del que ja us n'hem parlat aquí, de la dissenyadora finlandesa Joanna Laajisto) a l'interior del recentment renovat Vanha Kauppahalli, un mercat covert al costat del port i de Kauppatori...

...and Block (by Finnish designers Suvi-Maria Silvola and Laura Seppänen) in an office building also near Kauppatori, where on weekends you can also enjoy its 'brunch'. _...i Block (de les dissenyadores finlandeses Suvi-Maria Silvola i Laura Seppänen) al davant mateix, en un edifici d'oficines, on els caps de setmana també podreu gaudir d'un brunch.
