AHIR vaig anar a... bé, va ser divendres passat... a veure l'obra de teatre Prendre Partit, al Teatre Goya de Barcelona.

Yesterday... actually it was last friday... we went to see a Ronald Howard's role play 'Taking Sides', at Teatre Goya of Barcelona.

Berlin in 1946 is a city destroyed as a result of the war. Destruction, confusion, death; the end of an era. This time we are witnessing the preliminaries and preparatory research for the trial to be undertaken by the Commission Anti-Nazi Artists. Major Steve Arnold (Andrés Herrera) was commissioned to investigate the implications of the music director Furtwängler Wilheim (Josep Maria Pou) accused of collaborationism with the Nazi regime during World War II. _Berlín, 1946, una ciutat destruïda com a conseqüència de la guerra. Les forces aliades ja han pres posicions a la ciutat i és l'hora de jutjar el criminals de guerra. En aquesta ocasió assistim als prolegòmens i investigacions preparatòries per al judici que durà a terme la Comissió Anti-nazi per als Artistes. El comandant Steve Arnold (Andrés Herrera) rep l’encàrrec d’investigar les implicacions del director d’orquestra Wilheim Furtwängler (Josep Maria Pou) acusat de col·laboracionisme amb el règim nazi durant la II Guerra Mundial.

The text deals with the post-Nazi Germany in 1946 and aims to involve the audience as part and wotness of an open trial that shows two opposing attitudes to the absolutely terrible political reality of the Third Reich. _El text aborda l’Alemanya post-nazi de 1946 i pretén involucrar a l’espectador com a part i testimoni d’un judici obert que presenta dues actituds absolutament oposades davant la terrible realitat política del Tercer Reich.

The author sets before us the eternal confrontation between culture and power, between art and politics, and invites us to "take sides". _Com ja ens tenen acostumats a moltes obres al Teatre Goya, també en aquest cas l’autor de l'obra, Ronald Harwood, ens convida a “prendre partit”. Ens col·loca davant l’eterna confrontació entre cultura i poder, entre art i política. 

This role play lasts 1 hour 50 minutes without intermission; and will be at Teatre Goya of Barcelona until 1 February 2015. _L'obra dura 1h 50min, sense entreacte; i seran al Teatre Goya de Barcelona fins el 1 de febrer de 2015.
