6 and 7 December it will be held the first edition of Palo Alto Market in Barcelona, where one will find over a hundred of original exhibitors and exclusive products every first weekend of the month. The market includes new design, art, vintage, street food, children's workshops and live music. _El 6 i 7 de desembre arriba a Barcelona la primera edició de Palo Alto Market, on s'hi reuniran més d’un centenar d’expositors originals i amb productes exclusius cada primer cap de setmana de mes. El mercat inclou nou disseny, art, vintage, street food, tallers infantils i música en viu

Palo Alto Market is a new market for Barcelona, a street but sophisticated market, based on the concept of popular street markets developed into a format for a city famous everywhere for their creativity. _Palo Alto Market és un nou mercat per a Barcelona, de carrer i sofisticat, basat en el concepte de street market però desenvolupat en un format a la mesura d’una ciutat que s’ha destacat a tot arreu per la seva creativitat.

The site of Palo Alto is an old factory located in the neighborhood of Poble Nou, restored and converted into studios and workshops for artists and designers. It is an urban island near the sea with a spectacular scenery. Javier Mariscal is president of the Foundation Palo Alto and has headed the task of transforming this former factory in Poble Nou into a hub. _El recinte de Palo Alto és una antiga fàbrica situada al barri del Poblenou, rehabilitada i reconvertida en estudis i tallers de creadors, dissenyadors i artistes. Una illa urbana propera al mar amb un paisatge espectacular. Javier Mariscal és president de la Fundació Palo Alto  i ha encapçalat la tasca de transformar aquesta antiga fàbrica de Poblenou en un hub.

At the market it will be seld art (temporary installations, art and design, which are assembled and disassembled only in a weekend), new design (a showcase for old and new furniture editors, and contemporary lighting design), vintage findings (products that will surprise by the quality of materials, and vintage clothing and accessories, recovered and transformed into objects of worship), hand-made (small very creative initiatives) street food (young and renowned chefs evolve and revolutionize the dining scene), music (artists who have the ability to surprise us at any time and place; innate talent, improvisation, micro-show, live music and recorded), street performances and much more. The selection of exhibitors is made according to criteria of quality and harmony with the concepts and objectives that define the identity of this market. _Al mercat s’hi exhibirà i es vendrà art (instal·lacions efímeres, d’art o disseny, que es munten i es desmunten en un cap de setmana), nou disseny (un aparador per als vells i els nous editors de mobiliari, il·luminació i disseny contemporanis), vintage (productes que ens sorprenen per la qualitat dels seus materials i acabats d’un altre temps, i peces de roba i complements vintage, recuperats i transformats en objectes de culte), hand-made (petites iniciatives personals molt creatives), street food (cuiners joves i reconeguts que, amb la seva feina, evolucionen i revolucionen el panorama gastronòmic), música (artistes que tenen la capacitat de sorprendre’ns en qualsevol moment i lloc. Talent innat, improvisació, micro-espectacle, música en viu i gravada), espectacles de carrer i moltes coses més. La selecció dels expositors es fa atenent a criteris de qualitat i sintonia amb els conceptes i objectius que defineixen la identitat d’aquest mercat.

The installation of the Market occupies four streets outside the enclosure (Main Avenue, Street Food, Street and Central Street Bugambilia) and inside three buildings (Art Gallery, Space Black and White Space) which housed up to 150 exhibitors. _La instal·lació del mercat ocupa els quatre carrers exteriors del recinte (Principal Avenue, Food Street, Central Street i Bugambilia Street) i tres naus interiors (Art Gallery, Espai Black i Espai Blanc)on s’ubicaran fins a un màxim de 150 expositors.

The Market will be opened Saturday 6th December, and thereafter, will take place the first weekend of each month. _S’inaugurarà el proper dissabte 6 de desembre i, a partir d’aleshores, tindrà lloc el primer cap de setmana de cada mes.
