If you are planning a trip to Iceland, remember these marvellous cabins place to stay in south east of the island (in Brekkuskógur), designed by studio PK Arkitekt. _Si planegeu una escapa a Islàndia, podeu allotjar-vos en alguna d'aquestes espectaculars cabanes al sud est de l'illa (a Brekkuskógur), dissenyades per l'estudi d'arquitectura PK Arkitektar.
The main focus of the design is to create a semi-rural architecture that blends in with the landscape and the surrounding mountains (PK Arkitektar). _La idea principal del disseny és crear una arquitectura semi-rural que s'integri amb el paisatge i les muntanyes circumdants (PK Arkitektar).
The two timber buildings are covered with strips of charred wood, which enhances the durability of the wood. They installed layers of grass from the building site on the roofs, another traditional method used by nordic architecture. Large windows and terraces aim to take advantage of the scenary, the Laugarvatn Lake. _Els dos edificis de fusta estan coberts amb tires de fusta carbonitzada, que millora la duarbilitat de la fusta. Van instal·lar capes d'herba als sostres, un altre mètode tradicional utilitzat en l'arquitectura nòrdica. Grans finestrals i terrasses permeten gaudir plenament del paisatge, del llac Laugarvatn.
The interior spaces are covered with neutral-toned textiles and furniture, polished concrete on the floor, white walls and a ceiling claddes in wood planels. _Els espais interiors estan equipats amb teles i mobles en tons neutres, formigó polit a terra, parets blanques i un sostre revestit amb panells de fusta.
