From 21 October 2014 until 18 January 2015 one can visit at La Pedrera a fascinating exhibition on the work of El Lissitzky, one of the most controversial artists in the first half of the twentieth century, while one most influential to the European avant-garde from the Stalinist regime of the '30s. _Des del 21 d'octubre de 2014 i fins al 18 de gener de 2015 podeu visitar a La Pedrera una exposició fascinant sobre l'obra d'El Lissitzky, un dels artistes més controvertits a la primera meitat del segle XX, alhora que un dels artistes més influents per a les avantguardes europees des del règim estalinista dels anys '30.
Throughout the exhibition visitor will find a very varied selection of works... painting, drawing, engraving, photography, graphic and typography design, architecture,... actually, any of all the artistic disciplines, even an approach to the world of cinema. 25 years of his career, from the early illustrations for Yiddish children's books to his late work for the propaganda magazine 'USSR in Construction'. _Al llarg de tot el recorregut de l'exposició hi trobem una selecció d'obres ben variada... pintura, dibuix, gravat, fotografia, disseny gràfic i tipogràfic, arquitectura,... en definitiva, pràcticament totes les disciplines artístiques perquè, fins i tot, es va apropar al món del cinema. 25 anys de la seva carrera, des de les primeres il·lustracions per a llibres infantils jiddisch fins als seus treballs per a la revista propagandística URSS en construcció.

But ... who really was El Lissitzky? Born in Potxinok, Smolensk, 1890, and died in Moscow in 1941. He was a painter, designer, architect and photographer, and one of the most engaged in the search for a new art for a 'new man' emerged from the October Revolution. His work had the ability to act as a catalyst for new ideas born in the Soviet Union and Western Europe. _Però... qui és El Lissitzky? Va nèixer a Potxinok, Smolensk, al 1890, i va morir a Moscou al 1941. El Lissitzky gets a perfect combination between the Suprematist flat surface with the laws of constructivist architecture through 'Proun' (projects for the affirmation of the new) from 1919 to 1923 which influenced on De Stijl and Bauhaus styles. _El Lissitzky combina de manera més harmoniosa la superfície plana suprematista amb les lleis de l'arquitectura constructivista a través dels Proun (projectes per a l'afirmació del nou) de 1919 a 1923, i que van tenir tanta influència a De Stijl i a la Bauhaus.
It is also considered the founder of modern typography, and the forerunner of the modern book design. _És considerat, a més, el fundador de la tipografia contemporània, i el precursor del disseny del llibre modern.

'El Lissitzky, the experience of totality' is an exhibition that arrives in Barcelona revised and expanded, for example with his latest work 'Produce more tanks!' poster (1941), thanks to Fundació Catalunya-La Pedrera, Museo d'arte moderna e contemporanea di Trento e Revereto, Museu Picasso de Málaga and La Fábrica. _El Lissitzky, l'experiència de la totalitat és una mostra itinerant que arriba a Barcelona revisada i ampliada, per exemple amb la seva darrera obra el cartell Produïu més tancs! (1941), de la mà de la Fundació Catalunya-La Pedrera, el Museo d'arte moderna e contemporanea di Trento e Revereto, el Museu Picasso de Málaga i La Fábrica.
