This weekend many Gay Pride celebrations will be held everywhere. Crowded parades will be seen in the streets, for instance in Barcelona and in Helsinki, full of color and diversity to celebrate the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender culture (LGBT) and claim year after year, equating rights with other citizens and release those societies where persecution and intolerance still take their toll on human dignity. But anywhere this kind of expression is still able, it will be seen diversity, celebration and fun all around... according to the nature of their cultures. In Barcelona, for example, the Mediterranean character always defines the Barcelona Pride... _Aquest cap de setmana serà el punt culminant de les celebracions de l'Orgull Gay arreu. Les multitudinàries parades (o desfilades) ompliran els carrers, per exemple de Barcelona i d'Hèlsinki, de color i diversitat per a celebrar la cultura lesbiana, gai, bisexual i transsexual (LGBT) i reclamar, any rere any, l'equiparació de drets amb la resta de la ciutadania i l'alliberament en aquelles societats on encara la persecució i la intolerància fan estralls en la dignitat de les persones. Però allà on aquesta expressió de diversitat és possible, es tracta d'un moment de festa i de diversió... i en cada lloc es manifesta d'acord amb el tarannà de la seva cultura. A Barcelona, per exemple, el caràcter mediterrani s'imposa a la Barcelona Pride...

...and in Helsinki, where last years significant efforts regarding the recognition of LGBT rights have been done. It was not until 2006 that Helsinki parade was held for the first time during Gay Pride celebrations. The aesthetic is clearly different (is a Nordic city) but the mood will be the same! Increasingly, more and more people is involved in the events of the Gay Pride celebrations_...i a Hèlsinki, on els darrers anys s'hi ha dut a terme una tasca molt important pel que fa al reconeixement dels drets LGBT. No ha estat fins a l'any 2006 que Hèlsinki ha celebrat una desfilada per a les celebracions de l'Orgull Gay. L'estètica és clarament diferent (és una ciutat nòrdica) però el sentiment és el mateix!

The organization of the Helsinki Pride gives each year a special mention (Sateenkaari-diploma) to all entities that have payed special attention to equality and non-discrimination in their activities. This year, our friends from Visit Helsinki have been awarded with one of them! _L'organització del Helsinki Pride otorga cada any una menció especial (Sateenkaari-Diplomi) a totes aquelles entitats que han destacat especialment per la promoció de la igualtat de gènere. Aquest any, Visit Helsinki n'ha estat una de les elegides! Onneksi Olkoon!
