El jove fotògraf finès de Kevara, Mikko Lagerstedt, va descobrir la gran silueta d'un gat il·luminat pels fanals del carrer. D'aquí en va sortir aquesta sèrie de fotogràfies d'animals vagant sols, de nit, pels carrers de la població costera propera a Hèlsinki, Porvoo, a Finlàndia. One night while walking the streets of Porvoo, Finland, finnih photographer Mikko Lagerstedt captured the silhouette of a large cat off in the distance lit from behind by a street lamp. He concieved, then, a new series called Night Animals, where all kind of wildlife would prowl the streets of Porvoo at night.

El meu objectiu és capturar les sensacions del moment just de fer la fotografia. M'agrada veure el món des de diverses perspectives. En la nostra vida, tot va massa depressa com per poder gaudir dels petits moments que ens ofereix. Si aconsegueixo que la gent s'aturi un moment per a veure la bellesa de la vida, hauré guanyat, diu Mikko. 'My goal is to capture the feeling I had when I took the photograph - it's the most important thing in my photographs. I love to view the world from different perspectives. In our lives, things can go so fast that we forgot to enjoy these short moments - if I can make people stop and see the beauty of life and feelings, I have succeeded.'
