En el bicentenari del naixement d'aquest gran personatge de l'òpera italiana (Giuseppe Verdi, 1813-1901), el Gran Teatre del Liceu ha engegat una sèrie de quatre concerts que recullen alguns moments més destacats del repertori operístic d'aquest compositor tan prolífic del segle 19. En el concert d'ahir, corresponent al nostre torn, fragments de les òperes Ernani, Macbeth, I lombardi alla prima crociata, La forza del destino, Alzira, Il corsario i Aida. To celebrate the bicentenary of the birth of Giuseppe Verdi, the Gran Teatre del Liceu will be opening the season with a great Verdi celebration covering the whole of the composer's oeuvre. With the best of Verdi's voices, these concerts will be a box of delights that reveal some of the best-kept secrets and forgotten, rejected or alternative excerpts.
D'aquesta manera hem començat la temporada 2013-2014 del nostre abonament al Liceu, marcada, com no podria ser d'altra manera, per les retallades. Thus, yesterday begun the new season of our subscription to the Liceu.
